North Rigton Country Kennels & Cattery

Ever wondered where your furry best friend goes on vacation? Meet North Rigton Country Kennels & Cattery, and trust me, you're going to love this place.

Tucked away in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, this isn't your average pet boarding spot. Think of it more like a five-star spa — but for dogs and cats!

Location, Location, Purrfection!

North Rigton sits in the heart of Harrogate district, surrounded by rolling green fields and fresh country air. The kind of place where tiny paws get to chasing butterflies without a care in the world.

It's so peaceful out here that some pets probably don't even want to go back home. Okay, maybe they do — but honestly, some of them look pretty too comfortable.

A Tale of Two Kingdoms: Kennels and Cattery

Here's the cool part. This place runs both a kennel AND a cattery, side by side.

Dogs get luxury suites with bedding, toys, and outdoor playtime. Cats get their own spacious area with perches, warm hides, and just the right amount of cattitude.

They don't mingle. Imagine the chaos if they did!

What Makes It So Special?

First, the staff actually love what they do. And that's not just PR talk — you can feel it the moment you walk through the door.

They treat every single dog and cat like they're part of the family. That means personalized feeding, special dietary needs, and extra cuddles when your pet needs cheering up.

No two stays are the same, because no two pets are the same either!

Designed With Comfort in Mind

The kennels are well-ventilated, spacious, and kept spotless. We're talking hotel-grade clean here — not the stinky kennel vibe you might be picturing.

The cattery, meanwhile, feels like a little feline kingdom. Cats can stretch out, climb, hide, and survey their territory like the rulers they think they are.

Every space is designed to keep pets feeling safe, calm, and entertained.

The Furry Celebrity Moments

Over the years, North Rigton has hosted all kinds of characters. From total drama queens who bark at their own reflection to shy kitties who need a gentle nudge to eat.

Dogs who snore louder than humans? Seen it. Cats who officially refuse to come out of their carrier for three hours? Yep, that too.

The staff have heard it all, seen it all, and somehow stayed smiling through all of it.

Why Pet Owners Keep Coming Back

Trust is everything when it comes to leaving your pet behind. And North Rigton has earned it — one wagging tail at a time.

Owners love the transparency here. Updates, photos, and a friendly phone call when your pup or kitty is settling in.

You get that reassuring text that says, "Don't worry, Max is having the time of his life." Honestly? How could you resist?

More Than Just a Boarding Place

North Rigton isn't just about keeping pets occupied while you're away. They're focused on making each animal's stay feel like a holiday in itself.

Daily exercise, enrichment activities, and plenty of social interaction keep every pet mentally sharp and physically happy. It's a far cry from the image of a lonely pet locked in a cage.

That's the whole point, right?

Fun Facts That'll Make You Smile

Did you know the countryside setting means some pets get to experience country walks every day? Fresh air, nature trails, and the occasional squirrel sighting = doggy heaven.

Meanwhile, the cats enjoy stimulating environments that bring out their playful side. Climbing posts, window perches, and cozy nooks — it's like a cat Nintendo Switch.

Some pets arrive grumpy and leave wagging. Some arrive confident and end up napping through every single day. Either way, they're thriving.

So, Is It Worth It?

Absolutely. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a month-long trip, your pet will be in great hands.

North Rigton Country Kennels & Cattery blends expertise with genuine warmth. It's not just a place — it's a pet paradise.

And honestly? Your dog might come back more spoiled than you are. You've been warned!
