So, there I was, wandering around Birmingham, trying to find a decent coffee spot that wasn't a chain. You know the struggle, right? Coffee snob, that's me. Anyway, I stumbled upon this place called Oaklands Centre. Now, I've been to Birmingham a fair few times, but this place was new to me. It was like finding a hidden gem in your own backyard. I thought to myself, "Self, this place looks interesting. Let's check it out."

As I walked in, I was greeted by this massive, old oak tree right in the middle of the courtyard. I mean, who puts a tree in the middle of a shopping centre? Birmingham, that's who. I was already impressed. But then, I saw a sign that really caught my eye. It said, "Forward Thinking Birmingham." I was like, "Ooh, what's this all about?"
